In 2007, The Simpsons took the leap from TV to cinema and now almost 10 years later, a sequel may finally be moving forward.
Speaking at Comic-Con, The Simpsons‘ producer Al Jean said a follow-up film is being discussed:
“We talk about it, but if we do it we only want to do it if it’s going to be really good.
“We would never do it just to cash in, so if it comes out it’s because we believe in it.”
Could we see the return of Spider-Pig?
Creator Matt Groening had previously said that a 2nd Simpsons Movie was “not a priority” as the last film “killed” his team, but he didn’t rule out a sequel in the future at least.
