Thor’s Natalie Portman is “done” with Marvel
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Natalie Portman wouldn’t appear in Thor: Ragnarok, and now the actress has addressed her Marvel future, saying that she doesn’t expect to make a return anytime soon.
Portman told The Wall Street Journal when asked if she’ll ever reprise her role as Dr. Jane Foster:
“I don’t know if, maybe, one day they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know I’m done.”
Marvel boss Kevin Feige previously explained Portman’s absence from Ragnarok, as when asked why she won’t feature, Feige stated that there are “many reasons. There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this movie, 80 to 90 percent takes place in the cosmos,”
Tessa Thompson takes over as the film’s new female lead, Valkyrie. While Chris Hemsworth may have his work cut out against Cate Blanchett as “the mysterious and powerful new villain” Hela.
One character that is returning is Loki and recently, we got our first look at Tom Hiddleston on set:
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
