Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella Will Star in Mummy Reboot

There’s been much talk in Hollywood lately regarding who will star in Universal’s upcoming Mummy reboot. Tom Cruise has previously been rumored for a part in the monster flick, but now he has officially signed on. Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service is additionally on board to play a female Mummy.

Universal reports that their Mummy reboot will now hit theaters June 9, 2017, as apposed to March 24. It will be the first film in a planned cinematic universe comprised of other classic movie monsters. According to Variety, the film will take place in present day with Alex Kurtzman directing and Jon Spaihts crafting the script.
