Tom Hardy and Josh Trank teaming up for Al Capone film

Tom Hardy’s not quite done with the ‘thug life’ just yet, after his successful turn as the Kray twins in Legend last year. Hardy will be teaming up with Fantastic Four director Josh Trank for Fonzo. Where Tom Hardy will star as the infamous Al Capone.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will follow Capone from the age of 47 after his decade in prison, spectating on his fight with dementia and his violent past. There’s no official synopsis released on IMDB and the film has been kept quiet up until now.

Currently still in pre-production with writer/director Josh Trank, who’s film Chronicle was a big hit, and flared the careers of current stars such as Michael B. Jordon and Dane DeHaan. Afterwards was a messy affair with FOX during the production of Fantastic Four, a production nightmare and a box office failure meant that Trank was dropped from directing a Star Wars film, believed to be Star Wars: Episode IX. Seemingly proving Trank is pulling back from the studio system.
