Tom Hardy was set to star in DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad movie as Rick Flag, the squad’s leader, however he has had to pull out due The Revenant running over schedule, which he is also starring in. Director David Ayer is now looking to his End of Watch star Jake Gyllenhaal to replace Hardy. The news comes via The Wrap. Suicide Squad is scheduled for release on August 5, 2016, so long as this and other set-backs don’t hold it up.
