Despite being panned by critics (the film’s Metascore currently sits at 31), Transformers: Age of Extinction has opened big with an approximate worldwide total of $301m. An estimated $90m of the $201m international total came from China, which makes it the biggest debut ever over there for an imported movie. Clearly thirst for Michael Bay’s Transformers series is showing little sign of abating.
