It looks like we’re getting that Twin Peaks revival after all. Following the show finishing in 1991, and the cinematic spin-off Fire Walk With Me in 1992, maverick director David Lynch – who has not directed a film since 2006’s Inland Empire – is now set to come back to the quaint yet mysterious town Twin Peaks. He tweeted a confirmation with the hashtag ‘#damngoodcoffee’, a nod for fans of the series. Nine episodes, all directed by Lynch, will air on US cable channel Showtime in early 2016 (in time for a 25th anniversary of the show’s finale), with the storyline continuing in the present day. None of the original cast are yet confirmed to return.
