Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson finally comment on their feud
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel finally have their say on their reported Fast & Furious 8 feud. It was rumored that the pair had fallen out on set and now they’ve spoken out on the matter.
The drama began when last year, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson expressed his anger on Instagram at his fellow male cast-members whilst shooting the sequel:
And TMZ reported that Vin Diesel was the main target of this:
“We’re told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn’t sit well with the former wrestling champ,”
And even more recently, according to a source at The Hollywood Reporter, the two tough-guy actors were being kept apart on the film’s press tour:
“They’re keeping them separated as much as possible,” an insider told THR.
Well now at the premiere of Fate of the Furious – Johnson spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the feud, insisting that any bad blood between them has ‘worked itself out’:
“In life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things. What matters the most is making a great movie. Then I think all of the other stuff kind of just has a way of working itself out.”
While Diesel also had his say, playing down the row:
“I don’t think the world really realises how close we are, in a weird way. I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.” he told USAToday.
Fast and Furious 8 has received mixed reviews so far, it crashes into theaters on April 14th.
