Vin Diesel’s hopes for Guardians of the Galaxy 2: A giant Groot
Vin Diesel sat down with IGN this week to promote his upcoming film The Last Witch Hunter, and also shared how he wants to see his Guardians of the Galaxy character grow (literally) in the sequel:
“I’ve talked to James Gunn about that. I can’t give it away but I would love to see gigantic Groot”, he said.
Diesel painted an interesting scenario for Groot, who we saw turn baby-sized in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy. “I’d love to throw him into a forest and see how much mass that he consumes after devouring all the trees.”
He didn’t stop there, going on to share a King Kong-esque idea:
“Imagine throwing him into Central Park in New York City. I just want to see Giant Groot.”
Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2 is currently in pre-production and scheduled for a May 2017 release.
