What does George Lucas think of The Last Jedi?
By now you probably know that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a critical success. Needless to say, it’s also destined to be a financial hit with some predicting a worldwide opening weekend in the $440 million range. What about George Lucas, the man who created the franchise, though? What does he have to say about the film?
According the The Hollywood Reporter, Lucas has seen the latest Star Wars film and described it as “beautifully made.” This news was relayed by Connie Wethington, a representative for Lucas.
It’s been noted Disney decided not to take Lucas’ advice regarding the franchise’s future after acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012. Lucas previously stated that he “really liked” The Force Awakens and his response to The Last Jedi appears to be even more positive.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15.
