According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are working together to reboot the classic animated series. Chris Henchy, a close partner of the pair, is supposed to be working on the script at present.
This comes off the news that the TV reboot, originally to be penned by Seth MacFarlane, has been shelved due to time constraints from MacFarlane.
The Flintstones last appeared on the big screen in 2000 in the film The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, which was distributed by Universal pictures.
