It appears Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are officially done with the Men in Black franchise.

According to Deadline, it’s unlikely that the stars will reprise their roles as Agent J and Agent K in an upcoming reboot, which Sony hopes will be the Men in Black equivalent of Jurassic World. Speaking of the Jurassic Park franchise, Steven Spielberg is set to act as an executive producer for the new MIB film. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight) have also been hired to write the script.

Previous reports suggested that the next MIB would be a crossover with 21 Jump Street. While Smith and Jones no longer seem to be in the equation, we’d love to see Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in black suits. In any case, the film is currently aiming for a May 17, 2019 release.
