If you’re a fan of both Mutants and Jedi, then you’re in for a treat when Star Wars: The Force Awakens plays next month. Not only will you get a new Star Wars movie, but the film will debut the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse.
Confirming the news in an interview with Collider, co-writer and producer Simon Kinberg (who also wrote X-Men: Days of Future Past) stated that the first trailer for the movie will play first with The Force Awakens.
I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.
Originally, Comic-Con got the first footage of the superhero sequel – set in the eighties, and starring Oscar Isaac as the titular villain – but that doesn’t necessarily mean that this will be a rehash of that same teaser. But ‘ton of cool stuff’ sounds rather pleasing to us, and it sounds like each screening of The Force Awakens is shaping up to be mini-events of their own.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released May 27, 2016.
