Last year it was reported that Yoda actor Frank Oz was spotted visiting The Last Jedi set at Pinewood Studios, and now the Star Wars legend has teased his character’s return for the upcoming episode 8.

The man behind the voice of Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi has hinted at the Jedi Master’s return, as when asked about Yoda’s comeback, he told Variety:

“I feel like I’m a prisoner at war here, and I can only give you my name, rank and serial number. To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I’ve been asked not to talk about it. I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me.”

So although far from confirmation, with Oz not denying his involvement in the film, we may very well see Yoda make his long-awaited return. Flashbacks seems the most likely or he could even pop up in the present as a ghost?
