Sony Pictures Entertainment has made a tentative deal with Google to stream The Interview on YouTube, the latter’s video-sharing website, on Christmas Day according to CNN. If the deal does go ahead, it will make history as being a simultaneous release in both theatres and on demand. It is also unlikely that this will be a YouTube exclusive, as Sony has also been in talks with other VOD providers.

About Theo Pape

Theo Pape grew up on great movies, created Flickreel, and serves as its Editor-in-chief. He remembers vividly the moment his mind was blown as he witnessed Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman being catapulted over a castle wall when he was a child.
