Zack Snyder to direct two Justice League films

News has just broken that Zack Snyder has been confirmed to direct Justice League. This comes as no surprise, for the Man of Steel director’s name has been attached to the project for some time; the real surprise is that Justice League will be a two-parter. Instead of releasing a single movie and making a sequel based on the commercial success of that one, DC seem to be making a bold move, especially concerning the lukewarm critical response (and box office) of Snyder’s Man of Steel last year. Justice League Part One will be released in 2017, while Justice League Part Two will come out 2019, and according to the official press release, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Amy Adams will reprise their roles as Superman, Batman and Lois Lane respectively.
